AOC takes its name from Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée, the French system that ties a wine’s identity to a specific place. The company’s thesis is that the most interesting wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic ferments are still made by people working honestly with their land — and that those people are worth knowing about.

This site is a publication, not a catalog. We don’t list pricing or inventory. We profile the producers we represent, the importers who bring them here, and the places they come from. Buyers in Tennessee can find us through their usual channels.
