In the mid-1960s, Agostino “Pippo” Parodi and his wife Bice began transforming their inherited family fruit farm—originally planted by Pippo’s grandfather, "Feipu"—into a dedicated winegrowing estate named Massaretti. Recognizing the site's potential long before the establishment of official Ligurian appellations, Pippo’s focus on quality quickly generated a prestigious reputation and a loyal following for his limited productions. Since 1987, the estate has been managed by their daughter, Brunella, and her husband, Mirco, who have modernized the winery while maintaining the family’s commitment to small-scale viticulture. Today, the estate continues to specialize in the native Pigato and Rossese varieties, honoring the unique terroir and agricultural heritage first established generations ago.
