Established in 2003 by Paul Estève and Chrystelle Vareille in Cheminas, Ardèche, Domaine des Miquettes spans approximately 5 hectares of vineyards. The estate focuses on Syrah, Marsanne, and Viognier, cultivating vines on steep, granitic slopes at elevations around 350–460 meters. Embracing organic and biodynamic principles, they employ traditional methods, including horse-drawn plowing and natural fermentations. Inspired by Georgian winemaking, they utilize buried amphorae (qvevri) for fermenting and aging their wines, notably the "Madloba" cuvées, which undergo extended maceration and maturation without added sulfites, resulting in expressive, terroir-driven wines.
