Fabien Duveau is an eighth-generation winemaker who took over his family’s estate in Chacé, France, in 2008, quickly establishing himself as a rising star in the Saumur and Saumur-Champigny appellations of the Loire Valley. Managing 20 hectares split across roughly 40 distinct parcels—neighboring the iconic Clos Rougeard—Duveau has transitioned the estate to certified organic and biodynamic agriculture, utilizing regenerative practices like eco-pasturing and installing beehives to foster biodiversity. He isolates and vinifies each individual parcel to showcase its unique terroir, utilizing a stunning 14th-century limestone cellar, spontaneous fermentations, concrete tanks, and neutral oak to preserve the purity of his Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. His highly praised lineup includes single-vineyard bottlings from renowned sites like "Le Bourg," "Bois du Chêne," and multiple expressions from the historic "Les Poyeux" terroir.
