Haus Rothenberg

Germany · Nahe

Haus Rothenberg is a contemporary wine project from the Nahe region of Germany that blends historical roots with a fresh, personal vision. Established by Julia Rumpf as managing director and her husband Georg Rumpf as winemaker, the estate was born from the 2025 acquisition of the venerable Sitzius estate in Langenlonsheim. The project focuses on roughly 10 hectares of mature, organically farmed vineyards—many planted in the 1980s and 90s—situated on complex soils of shell limestone, clay, and gravel. With a philosophy centered on minimal intervention and "giving what already exists the space it deserves," Haus Rothenberg produces Rieslings, Burgundy varieties, and Sauvignon Blanc characterized by precision, inner tension, and a clear, terroir-driven identity.
