Kappa Winery, owned and operated by Tassos Karagiozidis, is a new venture in Naoussa, with it's first vintage being 2021. The winery holds land around Noussa where international, as well as non-Noussian Greek varieties like Assyrtiko and Malagousia are planted. But the heart of the winery lies in its holdings in Naoussa proper, with their Kokkymelo vineyard at 400+ meters in elevation in the region of Fitia, as well as other high-elevation vinyards in the same area. The main thrust moving forward for the winery will be exploring the various village sites' terrior withing the Naoussa appellation, and indeed they've already taken over farming of more vines in lower-lying Trifolos to explore the myriad of expressions of the Xinomavro variety of Naoussa.
